My Top 5 Web 2.0 Tools to Use it in the Classroom

Hey there!

In the entry I posted last week, I told you that I would talk about the web 2.0 tools I learned at the Acıbadem Schools ELT conference. This week I also compiled them and I aim to introduce you to these tools with short explanations. You can experience these tools yourself from the links I will leave below, but I will be sharing the materials I will prepare using these tools in the coming weeks.

With the Edpuzzle application, you can add questions you want your students to answer to certain seconds and minutes of any video on the internet. It is also an application where you can edit videos, make narrations with your voice, add voice notes. If you want to show your students a video and give them a reason to watch it, you can use this tool.

Mentimeter is a tool that allows you to prepare instant and fun warm-up and evaluation activities before, during, and after the lesson. This tool provides opportunities such as solving questions interactively and making a competition. With Mentimeter, students can freely express their ideas, create word clouds, and make quick choices without using their names. It's one of the nice apps that you can use to both integrate technology into your classroom and save time.

This tool can be used not only for English teaching but also for teaching all lessons. Wordwall is perfect for creating both interactive and printable activities. You can see what kind of activities you can create by examining the site, and you can get ideas from activities prepared by others.

Pear Deck is a web platform where you can prepare online lessons and conduct efficient lessons with your students. With this application, you can create interactive presentations, prepare activities such as entrance tickets at the beginning of the lesson, assign homework, and get instant feedback from your students on various topics.

Popplet helps students organize and visually present their ideas. In addition to creating concept maps, it also allows students to collaboratively work on a project. Therefore, it is a website where you can easily evaluate the group assignments you will give to your students, especially in the online education process.
